Assessment of Nutritive and Antinutritive Status of Tomato and Brinjal under Different Fertilizer Management Practices |
(a) Tomato and Brinjal contain a huge amount of essential nutrients like Sodium, Magnesium, Calcium, and Iron by the use of 50% (N+P+K) + 50% Vermicompost (b) Anti-nutritive elements like Phenolic content, Flavonoid, and tannin are present in Brinjal by the use of chemical fertilizer (N, P, K). (c) In the case of Tomato, the treatment Control (Without fertilizer) showed the anti-nutritive elements like Phenolic content and flavonoids. Results show that, by using Vermicompost and chemical fertilizer, the maximum amount of Beta-carotene is present in Brinjal and Tomato. |

Effect of Aloe vera as Influenced by Organic and Inorganic Sources of Fertilizers.
|
It can be concluded that application of different organic manures and chemical fertilizers significantly influenced the plant height, fresh leaf weight, leaf length, leaf breadth, leaf area, leaf yield/plant and gel yield / plant of Aloe Vera in the treatment combination of 50% Sawdust + 50% Chemical fertilizer which recorded highest in all attributes following 100% Cocodust and 100% Chemical Fertilizer.Improvement in leaf yield automatically increases the gel yield. The organic gel is expected to fetch high marketable price. |

Physical activity level and burden of malnutrition among farmers of selected agroecological zone of Bangladesh. |
Agricultural productivity is largely dependent on nutritional status of farmers who are the central of agricultural development. This study reveals the energy gap of farmers which very much important for their health. In addition to poor dietary practice, physical activity level and energy expenditure of farmers were extremely high. Most of the farmers were illiterate with no nutritional knowledge. Despite these, overweight and obesity prevalence was little bit higher. Appropriate intervention strategy may be needed to foster the farmers about healthier diet. This information can be used by dietitians, trainees and policy makers.

Effects of nutrition intervention among adolescence girls in selected area of Sunamganj district. |
· Baseline Findings: Among 380 adolescent girls, 30% were stunted or severely stunted, and 20.1% were at risk of thinness. Nutritional knowledge was poor in 32.8%; 33.8% had poor IDD and 11.7% had borderline FCS. · Hygiene & Intervention Impact: 39.9% used napkin pads; 86% washed hands after excretion. Post-intervention, most health, nutrition, and hygiene indicators improved in the case group over the control group. |

Effect of different cooking methods on the content of vitamins and antioxidant properties of five types commonly consumed vegetables |
· Effect of Cooking Methods: Steam cooking retained more β-carotene (except in carrots), while boiling caused the highest ascorbic acid loss; microwaving preserved over 90% vitamin C. · Nutrient & Mineral Changes: Boiling greatly reduced TPC, TFC, and minerals like K, Mg, Zn; cooked veggies showed increased Ca and Fe but some heavy metals exceeded FAO/WHO limits.
